David Foster


David Foster had an amazing first season in adult cricket and it is hoped he can continue along the same course this year. Last year he picked up a couple of awards including 2nd XI player of the Year award and the U18 Bowler of The Year award, and came runner up to Richard Cheetham in 2nd XI Bowler of the Year, having taken a load of wickets and an impressive run of 26 consecutive dot balls, his batting isn't that bad nether.

What year did you join the Club and what or who made you join?
I played a few junior games in 2009, but I consider last season as my first season! Jonny Howard hassling me in school made me join.

What type of player would you consider yourself?
Competitive

What is the funniest moment you have experienced on or off the field while at the club?
In a junior game, Adam Smith, was fielding on the boundary and from what I can recall I think he dropped a catch, by slipping, then went to retrieve the ball before it got to the boundary and slipped again. I'm sure it wasn't funny for the bowler though.

What is your aim for the new season?
Chip in with more runs with the bat, as well as taking lots of wickets.

Who is the best player you have played with at the club?
Probably would go with Baz.

Whats your favourite thing about New Victoria?
Relaxed Atmosphere.

What has been your favourite tour so far and why?
Haven't been on this kind of carnage.

What is your nickname?
Fozzy

What is your finest moment as a player?
Either my 6fer or bowling about 40 consecutive dot balls.

Where do you see New Victoria in 5 years time?
The Rec.

What is your best fielding position?
Anywhere

Who, in your opinion is the best cricketer you have faced?
Karanveer Singh in the nets at Ainsdale, he turned the ball absolute miles.

What is your favourite on the field moment not involving yourself?
Saundo terrorising the woman who plays for Newburgh, with scoops and reverse sweeps, she was getting so angry!

Who do you think is the biggest prospect at the club?
Matty Howard

Who is the team you enjoy beating most?
Everyone.
